Application Cases

Inclination Sensor Applied on Rotary Drilling Rig for Construction Attitude Monitoring

Along with the continuous warming of the domestic construction machinery industry, rotary drilling rigs can be seen everywhere in some buildings and road construction sites, and are widely used in various foundation constructions such as cast-in-place piles, continuous walls, and foundation reinforcement. The rotary drilling rig is a pile-punching machine used for drilling the bored piles on the pile foundation engineering. The drilling rig can be used for the hole forming operations of various complex formations by arranging different drilling tools and adopting the corresponding drilling technology.

Rotary drilling rigs generally use hydraulic crawler type telescopic chassis, self-propelled foldable drill collar, telescopic drill pipe, automatic detection and adjustment of verticality, digital display of hole depth, etc. The whole machine operation generally adopts hydraulic pilot control and load sensing, which can be used in large construction sites to improve work efficiency and project progress.

The position of gravity center of the rotary drilling rig is a key factor affecting its stability. There are many factors affecting the gravity center position of rotary drilling machine. The static factors include the angle between the chassis and the horizontal plane, the position of the luffing mechanism, the inclination of the mast, the weight of each part of the drilling machine, etc.; the dynamic factors include the pressing force, the lifting force, the turning speed, etc.

When the rotary drilling rig is drilling, the drilling rig is firstly moved to the position where the drilling operation is performed, and the display interface displays the working view of the mast. From the mast work screen, the offset of the mast in the X-axis and Y-axis directions can be observed in real time. Through the inclination sensor on the components of the rotary drilling machine, the variable amplitude boom, the mast and the like, the inclination of the corresponding components is respectively measured, thereby calculating the position of the center of gravity of each component. Then combine with the weight of each component, the static center of gravity coordinates of the rotary drilling rig can be determined.

SST810 and SST400 Inclinometer Sensors Can Monitor Attitude of Rotary Drilling Rigs in Real Time The high quality SST810 dynamic tilt sensor is installed on the drilling rod end to realize real-time biaxial attitude measurement under the condition of drill rod structure movement. The SST400 high-accuracy inclinometer is mounted on the chassis of the car body to accurately measure the attitude of the body relative to the horizontal level. The measured attitude combined with the three-dimensional mechanical model of the rotary drilling rig can calculate the spatial coordinates of the vehicle's gravity center relative to the horizontal coordinate system in real time.

When the actual gravity center exceeds the pre-calculated safety range of the vehicle's gravity center, the system gives a safety alarm, the motion mechanism is suspended, and the gravity center is re-adjusted to a safe value via an automatic or manual manner so as to avoid dangerous accidents.
