II. General Description

The Profi-bus tilt sensor is developed on the basis of our patented tilt measurement technology. It adds a standard Profi-bus bus interface and can be directly connected to various PLCs on the market, shortening the system setup and commissioning cycle for users, further reducing engineering construction and maintenance costs.

Profi-bus tilt sensor has powerful tilt measurement capability in addition to meeting EN50170 V2 and IEC61158 standard.

Profi-bus tilt sensor supports Profi-bus standard protocol, which is a point-to-point protocol, which can realize point-to-point or point-to-multipoint communication, and is suitable for various places with strong interference, high real-time requirements and large-capacity data transmission. The Profi-bus tilt sensor working mode supports three modes: single query transmission, continuous transmission, and parameter setting. It can directly connect and communicate with various PLCs.

Profi-bus has a maximum operating speed of 12Mbps. Profi-bus supports 32 workstations and supports 127 nodes on a single bus segment consisting of a twisted pair cable. The maximum number of repeaters used is no more than four, and the maximum load line length is 4800m. When no repeater is used, the maximum load line length is 1200m.

The C15 cable is a dedicated cable for Profi-bus based on the Profi-bus specification. The cable has an impedance of 150 ohms and the system impedance is matched to a two-axle (twisted pair) configuration and allows for maximum signal throughput. The cable includes 100% proprietary aluminum foil shield and 65% tinned copper woven mesh shield for maximum shielding. It is capable of carrying signals on the UL NEC type PLTC list for maximum installation flexibility.

At the same time, in order to meet the actual on-site debugging and display needs, Vigor Technology has launched a dedicated LED display with Profi-bus interface, which can directly set the parameters of the tilt sensor, alarm point setting and angle data display through the display.
